In the early 1970s, Tommy Hilfiger was barely 18 years old when he decided to move to New York to source jeans, personalise them, and resell them. He then opened his own boutique and, after this venture failed, he launched the Tommy Hilfiger Corporation in 1984, allowing him to create his own men's clothing collection. Classic and cool, his designs were a hit and they made Tommy Hilfiger one of the world's most famous brands amount young urban trendsetters.
