Ben Sherman: rock'n'roll culture and a British influence
Following his travels throughout the USA, Ben Sherman came back to his native city of Brighton to open his first clothing factory. This was in 1963, in the middle of the musical revolution, a time when The Beatles, the Kinks, and the Troggs were driving girls crazy and calling on boys from good families to rebel. Ben Sherman shirts were quickly adopted by this cultural movement. The brand sometimes suffered from it's connection to these movements, yet also profited from it's affiliation with them. In any case, Ben Sherman shirts were worn and talked about. Now, shoes are available to complete the collection for a chic British look that combines rock'n'roll and London urban culture. Adopted by all the important cultural movements in the past 5 decades, today the brand proposes their Lifestyle collection available in more than 40 countries.
